# Connect Qualified Bid with ChatGPT

## Check your setup

Use ChatGPT on the web with a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education account that has developer-mode access. Workspace permissions determine who can create or publish apps. If your settings show Apps, follow the workspace instructions below.

## Connect

A connector links Qualified Bid to your assistant. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the connection protocol.

1. Open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode. If your workspace shows Apps settings instead, use the workspace route below.
2. Open ChatGPT Plugins using the link on this page. Select + to create a developer-mode app. Name it Qualified Bid and enter the connector address as the remote MCP server URL.
3. Choose OAuth, the sign-in method that connects ChatGPT to Qualified Bid. If offered an OAuth client choice, choose CIMD (published client identity). Leave the client secret field empty. Qualified Bid uses published client identity.
4. Complete the Qualified Bid sign-in and finish creating the app. If the screen offers Scan Tools, wait for the scan before choosing Create. The app appears among your drafts.

### If your workspace shows Apps settings

Business owners and administrators can create the app; Enterprise and Edu members need administrator-granted access. Enable Developer mode under Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings, or through Workspace settings → Apps → Create. Open Apps → Create, enter Qualified Bid and the endpoint, choose OAuth and published client identity if offered, then Scan Tools. Complete sign-in, wait for the scan and choose Create. Workspace publication is handled by an owner or administrator.

## Sign in and start

Use your Qualified Bid work email and the six-digit emailed code. Use the same work email across assistants.

Open a chat. Choose + → Developer mode and select Qualified Bid. In the Apps workspace interface, choose Qualified Bid from the tools menu or mention the app. Send the first prompt below.

First prompt: Using Qualified Bid, get me started.

You can research opportunities without a company profile. For tailored recommendations, start with your company name or a description of your work. Add your website or files if useful; a Unique Entity ID (UEI) is optional. Review and confirm your profile before matching starts.

If you already have a company profile, continue with that company. To request matches, ask: Using Qualified Bid, what can I bid on?

## Help

If setup controls are missing, check your account’s connector access and ask your workspace administrator to enable or add Qualified Bid. For sign-in problems, return to connector settings and authenticate with your work email, then select Qualified Bid in your chat.

Each assistant needs its own connection. Use the same Qualified Bid work email and select your existing company profile.
